The GAES TITAN DESERT by GARMIN reaffirms its commitment to the people and environment of Morocco, and has launched the TITAN LIFE campaign, which aims to implement action measures and raise awareness of the participants to ensure that the race is sustainable and respectful with the Moroccan environment.
The GAES TITAN DESERT by GARMIN has the priority to preserve the landscape and environment for each of the areas of Morocco where the race passes. The organization is in charge of collecting and recycling all of the waste resulting during the six days of the event, both in caravan camps and in the route. The same happens with the hydratation stations, where are collected all the bottles that are delivered to the runners.
The rules and regulations warn the cyclists that they will be punished if they throw objects in the route. Before taking the start of each stage all its objects like bars or gels are labeled with the number of its bib number, so those who fail to follow the rules are penalized in time.
Once each stage is finished the staff is responsible for removing all arrows that mark the route for cyclists, so as not to leave any permanent trace on the Moroccan ground.
RPM-MKTG and the GAES TITAN DESERT by GARMIN are committed with the environment and seek to generate awareness among participants, trough positive messages in the camps about care and respect for the environment.
